Star Wars: The Old Republic happened in the Star Wars fictional universe shortly after the establishment of a tenuous peace between the re-emergent Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. Players join either the Republic or the Sith, but players may possess a morality at any point along the light/dark spectrum.
no one noticed that in the attack of the clones we see doku taking the plans of the death star from geonnisis( I don’t know how to right the name of the planet) and at rogue one we see Jins father making the plans if the death star. I think that something has gone wrong. Chris Koffas in the rogue one novel catalyst, krennic convinced poggel to create part of the death star before the geonosians revolted against him.
This is my biggest disappointment of the year. I’m a huge Star Wars fan and I love MMo’s. It’s a shame the game didn’t do better. I had a lot of fun with it. The problem is once you hit level cap it was just another MMO and on top of that an under developed one.
I really wanted to like this game. My entire guild quit WoW to go to this game. There were over 100 of us for the launch. Most of us had played WoW since it’s launch. We had really committed ourselves to this game. But soon it became apparent that the people they hired were not the kind of people who understood what you needed to be a successful MMO.
The biggest problem is the engine. It isn’t designed for massive numbers of people. This is showcased when players would attempt to have large battles in the same area. The computers belonging to the players would have many resources idle, but would be getting very few FPS because the engine wouldn’t use enough of our GPU. Didn’t matter if the graphics were low or ultra, the game could not handle massive amounts of players fighting in the same area. This is a key point for any MMO and this was what convinced us the game was broken beyond repair.
The endgame PVP design was poorly conceived. World PVP is discouraged. In fact, you can’t even access most areas that the other faction is in. The warzones were either really good (huttball) or really bad (everything else).
